In this video, our Founder and CEO, Becky Fawcett, shares an exciting update on our capacity-building campaign with just one year to go.

In fall 2024, after encouragement from several of our lead donors and following a careful, comprehensive evaluation of Helpusadopt.org’s mission, leadership, impact, and the increasing demand for adoption assistance, we launched a three-year, $9.2 million campaign.

Our objective is simple: double the impact of the grant program, which will help MORE families bring MORE children home.

Helpusadopt.org is changing the adoption landscape by providing support, education, and the confidence to non-traditional families pursuing adoption. Over the past year and a half, we’ve been incredibly encouraged by the strong and generous support we’ve received, but our work isn’t finished. You can help us cross the finish line!

Total Campaign Goal - $9.2M

92%

This campaign, like everything we do at Helpusadopt.org, is INCLUSIVE. Think your gift is too small to matter? Think again. Every single donation helps open doors to more adoptions and brighter futures. You are not just supporting this work—you are making it happen.

There is no other organization like Helpusadopt.org that:

  • Provides grants up to $30K

  • Has no application fees

  • Educates and promotes adoption to  nontraditional families

  • Grants regardless of race, religion, gender, ethnicity, marital status, or sexual orientation

  • Gives awards every 60 days

OUR VISION:

Making adoption financially accessible for ALL families so more children come home

3-YEAR CAMPAIGN GOAL:

MORE FAMILIES:

Increase our grant award program by

2X over 3 years so that

adoption is more financially accessible to all

By making adoption more financially viable and more accessible, Helpusadopt.org can help unlock equity and unite more families.

In the past few years, Helpusadopt.org has grown to provide over 100 grants each year. It is our goal to create the internal infrastructure to increase by 2X and be able to provide over 600 grants from 2025-2027.

To do this, Helpusadopt.org will grow the funding team to seek a higher level of support from a broader audience of partners.

Jacqueline and Tali

Let’s unlock the opportunity for 600 children like Tali to join families

To whom it may concern, Hello! I wanted to take this opportunity to send you this note of gratitude in your role in helping bring my daughter home from India!!! The process from start to finish took three years!! It was through organizations and people like you, that I was uplifted in the moments of doubt and struggles. Your generous gift(s) saw me through to the end. April 27, 2021, Tali Emilia McNeill became my daughter! Our two months together as mother and daughter have been riddled with struggles and some minor hiccups. When I picked her up in India, Tali was very ill. Due to the COVID situation in Delhi at the time, we were in lockdown at the hotel. The day we landed in the US, I drove to NCH in Columbus, Ohio, to obtain the best medical care possible for Tali. We ended up spending two weeks together in the PICU. She had a multitude of infections and severe malnourishment. Doctors from many specialties came and helped heal her little body. In time, she came back to life and began to smile and try to bond with her mama! Because of your gift towards this adoption, you played a role in saving her life! In the six weeks we have been home, Tali has become a new child. She is funny and joyful. Trusting and playful. She daily ventures more and more away from me and around the house or park on her own. She enjoys independent play with her friends. She rolls back to say hello every now and then, but other than that she wants me to let her just play on her own with friends and loved ones. Tali enjoys playing with toy trucks and balls. She loves to go to the park and would swing all day, if I allowed her to! She has even mastered going down slides all on her own. She is not afraid to try something at least once, even if she is timid and a little afraid at first.

Thank you,

Jacqueline McNeill, mother to Tali Emilia McNeill
